Financing your flight training
Money is the reason most people never start. It does not have to be. Volare is approved through AOPA's flight training finance program — and before you borrow a dollar, we will tell you honestly what your training should cost.
finance program
You can finance your training at Volare through AOPA
AOPA — the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association — runs a finance program built specifically for flight training, not a general-purpose personal loan dressed up for pilots. Volare Aviation is approved through that program, so the training you do here is training you can finance through them.
You apply with AOPA directly. They set the rates, the limits, and the eligibility rules, and their lending partner makes the decision — we never see your financial information. What we can do is make sure you know what you are financing before you sign anything.
At a glance
- Built for flight training specifically
- Applies to any certificate or rating
- Applied for directly with AOPA
- Approval is credit-based
Current rates, amounts and requirements are published by AOPA and subject to change.
Financing built around training, not around a bank
Your training here
Aircraft time, instruction, and the rest of what it takes to reach your certificate at Volare — financed up front instead of paid lesson by lesson.
Any certificate or rating
Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, or an instructor rating. The program is built for flight training specifically — not a general-purpose personal loan.
A fast answer
You apply directly with AOPA online. Decisions come back quickly, so you are not sitting on hold with your training plan while a bank thinks about it.
Before you
borrow for
flight training
We would rather lose the sale than watch someone take on a loan they did not need. Three things worth hearing first.
- 1
A loan is still a loan
Financing does not make training cheaper. It moves when you pay for it, and interest is the cost of that. Borrow what you need to finish, not the maximum you qualify for.
- 2
Finish what you start
The most expensive training is training that stalls out. Long gaps mean re-learning, and re-learning means more hours. If you finance, fly consistently.
- 3
You do not have to finance
Training at Volare is pay-as-you-go — many students simply pay per lesson and fly at the pace their budget allows. Financing is an option, not the expectation.
Tell us your goal and your timeline and we will give you an honest picture of the cost — whether you end up financing or not.

Step 01
Talk to us first
Call or send a message and tell us what you are going for. We will walk you through what training at Volare realistically costs at your pace — before you borrow anything.
Step 02
Apply through AOPA
AOPA runs the application and sets every term. You apply on their site; approval is credit-based and AOPA membership is part of the process.
Step 03
Get your decision
AOPA and their lending partner review the application and come back to you directly. Volare is not part of the approval — we never see your financial details.
Step 04
Start flying
Once your financing is in place, we build the schedule around your availability and get you in the airplane. Consistency is what keeps the total down.

What people actually ask about paying for this
Does Volare offer financing directly?
What are the rates and how much can I borrow?
Do I need to be an AOPA member?
Will applying affect my credit?
Can I finance part of my training and pay for the rest as I go?
Does financing change what training costs at Volare?
Volare Aviation is not a lender and does not provide financial advice. Financing is offered through AOPA's flight training finance program and its lending partner, who set all rates, terms, eligibility requirements, and approval decisions. Nothing on this page is an offer of credit or a guarantee of approval.
